Molly + Sassy

What a truly special session this was! We recently met up with Molly and her incredible mare, Sassy, for a beautiful beach horse session at Hammonasset Beach in Madison, Connecticut. The day brought more than just stunning photos; it brought a heartwarming reunion that I'll never forget.

As it turns out, I've known Sassy since she was a young horse at an old barn, and it was a delightful shock to discover that this was the Sassy from years ago! She has grown into such a well-behaved and stunning mare. Seeing her with her loving owners, Terri and Charlie, was an amazing surprise and a reminder of how small the equestrian community truly is.

While the picturesque beach provided a perfect backdrop for our Hammonasset Beach photography, the coastal wind brought a chill to the air. Despite the cold, Molly was an absolute trooper. Her dedication to getting these photos with Sassy was a testament to their deep bond, and her resilience made every single shot worthwhile.

It was an honor to capture these timeless moments of a true team. This session is a beautiful example of why Connecticut horse photography at the beach is so magical—it creates unforgettable memories, even when a surprise reunion is thrown into the mix!
